Raise a Glass, Help an Animal: 11th Annual Pints in the Park Returns August 23 to Wicker Park

Highland, IN — Beer lovers and animal advocates alike will unite for a night of flavor and fundraising at the 11th Annual Pints in the Park, taking place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 6 to 10 p.m. at Wicker Memorial Park in Highland. The popular summer tradition features over 100 craft beers from local and national breweries, live music, and a heartfelt cause—supporting the lifesaving work of Humane Indiana.

Organized by Jeff Dettlo of Jeff Dettlo Springer Realty, a dedicated board member of Humane Indiana, Pints in the Park combines fun with philanthropy. Each year, Dettlo invites Humane Indiana to host a booth at the event, offering custom merchandise, a 50/50 raffle, and the fan-favorite Best Brewery contest. Guests can purchase “Noonan Chips” to cast their vote, with all proceeds benefiting Humane Indiana.

“The Best Brewery contest is my favorite part of the night,” said Jeff Dettlo, event organizer. “I named the award the Noonan Dettlo Award after my late dog, Noonan. He was the best boy—and I know he'd love that we're celebrating breweries and supporting animals all at once. It’s a win-win for dog lovers and beer lovers.”

This year’s event will also feature live music from party band Dick Diamond and the Dusters, and Humane Indiana will debut limited-edition T-shirts that sell out every year. The event is strictly 21+, and designated driver tickets are available. Tickets and event details can be found at www.pintsinthepark.net.

“There’s a natural connection between people who love good beer and people who love dogs,” said Brian Fitzpatrick, CEO of Humane Indiana. “We’re grateful to Jeff for creating this space where the community can come together to enjoy a great night and support animals in need. Events like Pints in the Park truly make a difference.”

Humane Indiana’s fundraising booth will be coordinated by Linsey Carrigan, Retail Coordinator and Store Manager at Humane Indiana. “We’ll have exclusive shirts, 50/50 raffle tickets, and lots of ways for people to get involved and give back,” said Carrigan. “It’s such a fun night and a fantastic opportunity to meet new supporters. Every purchase helps us save more animals.”

Volunteers are still needed for the event. For more information about Humane Indiana or to apply as a volunteer, email info@humaneindiana.org or visit humaneindiana.org.

Join us on August 23 and help raise a glass—and funds—for local animals in need.
